SPARTA KY (5-8-04) After winning his first ARCA RE/MAX Series race,
Blake Feese was poised to back it up in The Channel 5-205 at Kentucky
Speedway.
We
were pretty aggressive with the car for qualifying and I really believe
we had a shot at the pole, said Feese, following his eighth place
finish. I was probably a little too aggressive qualifying also.
The car just broke loose coming out of the corner. My hats off to the
crew for getting the back-up car ready. We came through the field, but
I didnıt get to where I wanted to be.
Feese started the #5 Dietech.com Chevrolet 33rd and finished the 137-lap
race in eighth place.
Feese is excited about his third ARCA race on Thursday night at Loweıs
Motor Speedway. He tested at the track last week and is anxious to return
to the wheel of the car that took him to victory lane in Nashville.
Everybody at Hendrick Motorsports and all of Bobby Gerhartıs guys
have worked hard to get that car race ready again, continued Feese.
Its good to know how a car is going to respond at a place like
Charlotte. Weıll be smart on how we approach qualifying and racing this
time. This is a big opportunity for me and I want to make the most of
it.
Feese will attempt to qualify for the Quaker Steak & Lube 100 on Wednesday
afternoon at 3:30 pm (et). The race will air LIVE on SPEED Thursday
night, May 27, at 9 pm ET from Lowe's Motor Speedway.
