CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 14, 2004) - Blake Feese will make two NASCAR
Busch Series starts in 2004 as a part of Hendrick Motorsports' driver
development program, team owner Rick Hendrick announced Wednesday.
Feese, 22, will enter his second career NASCAR event at Indianapolis
Raceway Park on Aug. 7, followed by an appearance at Dover (Del.) International
Speedway on Sept. 25.
A native of Saybrook, Ill., Feese has earned top-10 finishes in each
of his three ARCA Series starts this season, including a victory at
Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway on April 9. He entered his first-ever
Busch Series event June 19 at Kentucky Speedway, qualifying 16th and
finishing 41st in the No. 87 Chevrolet.
Hendrick Motorsports has formed a developmental alliance with NEMCO
Motorsports that will allow Feese to drive the organization's No. 87
Busch Series entries in their respective events this season.
In 2003, NEMCO assisted with the progression of current Busch Series
championship contender Kyle Busch, who posted two runner-up results,
three top-10 finishes and five top-10 qualifying efforts in seven races
driving the No. 87 Chevrolets.
