DOVER, DE (SEPT. 24) – Blake Feese was
getting valuable experience in the Stacker 200 NASCAR Busch Series race
at Dover International Speedway on Saturday when bad luck struck.
Feese qualified the NEMCO Motorsports No. 87 Chevrolet 19th in the
Stacker 200. Just past halfway in the race debris, which turned out
to be JJ Yeley's brake rotor, went through the radiator causing the
engine to overheat.
"I felt like getting laps was the most important thing," said
Feese. "We didn't get many laps at Kentucky, but we were able to
hang in there at IRP and the car felt good Saturday. I guess it's like
the old saying 'that's racing', and we're looking forward to heading
to Talladega this weekend."
Feese, who has earned top-10 finishes in each of his three ARCA starts
this season - including an April 9 victory at Nashville, TN, will pilot
the No. 94 CARQUEST Chevrolet at Talladega, with veteran crew chief
Gary DeHart heading up the Hendrick effort.
