Hendrick Motorsports
Driver Blake Feese to Pilot No. 15 Chevy at Kentucky Speedway - In the
ever-changing seat of the No. 15 Chevy Silverado, Billy Ballew Motorsports
welcomes yet another talented driver to their team. Hendrick Motorsports
driver Blake Feese will fill the role as driver for the No. 15 ditech.com
Chevy in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Built Ford Tough 225 Saturday
night at Kentucky Speedway. Billy Ballew Motorsports is also pleased
to have ditech.com return as their sponsor for the race weekend.
“We're excited to
have Blake Feese driving for us this weekend,” said team owner Billy
Ballew. “He’s a good driver, has some experience at Kentucky,
and I know Richie (Wauters, crew chief) and the guys will have an awesome
truck setup for him. We're also happy to have ditech.com back
on board with us. They have been real supportive of our efforts
this year, and I hope we can give them a finish they've become accustomed
to. We're at the halfway point of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
season, and I'd love to be able to remain a contender for the series
championship.”
Billy Ballew Motorsports
currently sits in the fourth position in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck
Series owners’ points standings, an accomplishment considering the team
has had six different drivers this season. Feese will become their
seventh driver to take the reins of the No. 15 Chevy Silverado.
“I met Billy (Ballew,
team owner) about three years ago,” said the 23-year-old Feese.
“We've been trying to do something and it all came together with ditech.com
helping us for this weekend. I've never been in a truck before,
but Billy’s put together a good team and I'm really looking forward
to having a good run.”
Feese has competed
at Kentucky Speedway on three occasions, twice in the NASCAR Busch Series
and once in the ARCA Re/Max Series. The experience from those
races Feese hopes will carry over to this weekend’s NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series event.
“I've been there
a few times,” Feese, a former ARCA winner, continues. “I like
the track, just haven't had the finishes. I feel comfortable there,
more so than if I was driving at a track I had never been before, especially
making my first start in a truck.”
Feese hopes to also
call on his Hendrick teammate and former winner in the No. 15 ditech.com
Chevy Silverado, Kyle Busch, for some help on mastering these trucks.
He also knows he has some big shoes to fill, since Busch’s three appearances
in the truck have resulted in two wins and a second place finish.
“I'm going to talk
with Kyle to discuss how these trucks drive differently than my Busch
car,” said Feese. “He’s good at giving me lots of information.
I'm used to following Kyle and filling his shoes. ditech.com made
it possible for me to do this. Hopefully, we'll continue the trend.”
