Feese Brings Home a 23rd Place Finish at Homestead

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (November 19, 2011)  – The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) rounded out the 2011 season with a trip to South Beach and Homestead-Miami Speedway this past Friday evening. With Blake Feese behind the wheel for the final time this season, the NCWTS rookie brought home a 23rd-place finish after a long, rainy day in Miami.

The No. 32 Red Hot Insurance Quotes team unloaded for a single practice session Friday afternoon. Feese utilized his time to get feel of the track conditions, as it was his first time turning laps on the 1.5-mile speedway.  Feese was listed in the 32nd spot by the end of practice.  Mother Nature had other plans fro the remainder of the afternoon and rained out qualifying, therefore the field started via practice speeds.

He hit pit road for four tires and a full tank of fuel.  Feese restarted in the 18th position.  The caution flew once again on lap 29, Feese hit pit road for a track bar adjustment and tires.  He restarted 24th on lap 33.

With his return to the NASCAR circuit Feese earned one top-five, one top-10 finish and a best career starting spot of third at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this month.

“It was a frustrating evening, but it wasn’t for the lack of effort.  I wanted to thank Mr. Turner, Mark Rette and everyone at Turner Motorsports who did a great job for me this year. Wish we were racing next week. Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement, it really means a lot to me,” said Feese.
